Junior DevOps

Linux

· Basic and practical knowledge of Linux server administration

· Experience working with systemd, cron, and system logs

· Ability to analyze and troubleshoot issues using journalctl, system logs, and monitoring tools

Containerization (Docker)

· Experience building Docker images (including understanding of multi-stage builds)

· Ability to set up and manage local environments using docker-compose

· Basic experience working with container registries

Kubernetes

· Understanding of core Kubernetes concepts: Deployment, Service, ConfigMap, Secret

· Experience deploying applications in Kubernetes environments

· Ability to debug Pods and Services using logs and describe commands

Version Control (Git)

· Experience working with branching strategies (feature branch, merge/rebase)

· Ability to resolve merge conflicts

· Experience using Git in a collaborative team environment CI/CD (GitLab CI + GitOps)

· Experience automating build and test pipelines using GitLab CI

· Ability to configure container image build and push to registry

· Experience with GitOps-based deployments using ArgoCD

· Managing deployment configurations through Git (Kustomize or Helm)

· Understanding the difference between CI (build) and CD (deployment) stages

Networking

· Understanding of TCP/IP and DNS concepts

· Ability to troubleshoot basic networking issues (connectivity, routing)

Infrastructure & Cloud

· Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, EKS)

· Experience working with VMs in on-prem environments (VMware or alternatives)

· Understanding of Infrastructure as Code concepts (Terraform – plan/apply level)

Observability

· Understanding of monitoring and dashboard systems (Grafana)

· Basic experience with log analysis (ELK Stack)

Security

· Familiarity with Vault or similar tools

· Understanding of secrets management and the principle of least privilege
